I'm gonna start with an easy thing.
To greet someone in portuguese you can say:
Oi = Hi.
or
Olá = Hello.
I guess you already knew about that because if you didn't know that, it means that you're really donkey and stupid in portuguese.
You can also say:
E aí? = What's up?
But it's kind of 'weird' when you say that for the first time.
